Big experience in Estonia!
Pseudo: "big girl" in a "big world"-Estonia
About me: Hi, I'm Katerina Petreska from Macedonia-Prilep.
I will be doing a European voluntary Service in Estonia-Parnu.
This blog will be about my first and big experience, and a lot of interesting events,
about city, about country, language, trips, etc...
My tags: culture, people, learning, working, projects, helping, tradition, enjoying, discovering, voluntary, party, tradition, Estonia, Tallinn, Parnu, EVS, weather, Baltic sea and beach, estonian language, food, etc...
As everything started!
After it, I had to decide with my organization, of course, with my consent, where we will send the part 3.
So first:
How to get turned on Estonia! Just like the lottery! So
the summer of 2011 I applied for
EVS projects, wish I was
that I may choose to Germany, but almost all the
organizations I returned a
negative response, but otherwise than
that I received Greece, Romania and Estonia.
After it, I had to decide with my organization, of course, with my consent, where we will send the part 3.
And when
it eliminated Greece, Romania, Estonia remained,
it was not really important
the country, because wherever you
choose almost anywhere would've been similar work, all three countries have
asked me similar conditions, my CV was almost everywhere and
I choose Estonia because
is somewhat various in comparison with my
country and far away, and
finally decided to leave and
start preparing after the interesting call I
got from Estonia on Saturday morning, the director sounded
pretty serious and interested, and so began serious preparations for
Estonia.
My
parents still do not know anything, but officially found
out after my birthday, October, the National Agency not
received for the project and even approved, which
meant that we can start the ...
I had
to apply for a visa, because Macedonia is not in the European Union,
not to Macedonia but also in neigh boring Bulgaria, because
in Macedonia have embassy Estonia's only consulate, and
they have no right to give visas.
So I
was Bulgaria applied for a visa for
eight months since the project is eight months,
from 02.02.2012 to 01.10.2012. Preparations have flowed seamlessly,my
organization with the organization from Estonia
and I were constantly in contact, ticket
was already booked in December on 02/02/2012 and
I had to be in Estonia.
Step by step...
Parents learned even when
I had to go to Bulgaria but were not quite clear ...
and so 5 days before the flight was running headless as to cooking since I
wasn’t awakened and I was like in a dream, that finally need to
go at a time quite distant and diverse country,
quite unknown, where no one know and where should will
be alone and away from my parents, relatives, friends, friends...
But there it
happened, I decided, I left without thinking, I made the
biggest and bravest move and I said YES finally. J
I love adventures, love to
travel, to meet new people, try to work in another
country to experience my how things are going to learn about
the culture, tradition, mentality, to visit different places,
cities, monuments, to travel from one another city if I
have the opportunity and if I am free of course, but most
importantly to be happy as a volunteer, to be in the
best order, getting hit housing, people will work to incorporate messages,
also to bring more fresh atmosphere
at work place, to learn some new things, and to show the best
and positive light, so they also to be happy and satisfied from
me of course.
So with one word, because
once you have the opportunity to be EVS-volunteer, so I
want and wish to have wonderful and
memorable experience in Estonia.
